that administer HSAs say they have opened 1.17 million accounts
and collectively manage about $1.5 billion in assets — up 50% since
the beginning of the year, according to exclusive data provided
to ICDC by more than 60 HSA administrators. The table below
is a snapshot of 33 large and small HSA administrators that supplied
all of the data requested and agreed to have it published. ICDC
estimates that about 3.5 million lives are now covered by an HSA-qualified
high-deductible health plan. That estimate is based on detailed
midyear enrollment data provided to ICDC by the nation's
largest for-profit health plans and nearly all of the nation's Blue
Cross and Blue Shield plans. |
